[ getting easily to his feet and padding over to the hall. it's a clear shot to the door, which is unlocked; Chris doesn't seem to be paying attention. ]

[He hesitates, then after a few moments looking at the door, follows Chris in silence.]

[ glances back just in time to catch the last second of that, blink in surprise, and give Yael a rueful sort of smile. like he hadn't been aware of what kind of opportunity he'd been leaving open until he'd had it all but pointed out to him.

leading him through the house, though; and it is a house, rather than an apartment. glances out the windows show it in kind of a remote area, with woods nearby. the kitchen is well-used and well-stocked, if almost entirely lacking perishables (Chris winces and mentions having been out of town for a while, he'll fix that soon but either way Yael can help himself), and there's a guest bedroom for him that shows signs of recent habitation as well.

as far as entertainment goes there are multiple video game systems and books and movies into forever. some of them are pretty old... ]

—so that's it. I tend to sleep pretty heavily at weird hours, so if I'm passed out and you need me either yell or hit me with a pillow. Upending a glass of water on my head works, too, but try to save that for emergencies.

[Yael pays attention, oohs and aahs over the books and games and movies, acting every inch a child burying himself in interesting things, though he seems... less enthused about the isolated nature of the place, even with the woods. Of course, it makes sense that he'd hate being trapped, what with his situation before this, and an unlocked door only means so much in the middle of nowhere.

Still, he seems to be cozy enough to sass, now.]
